I’ve been using the same motherboard for almost 2 years—last minor change was a new CPU in September 2006. Since that time, I have ditched Vista and gone back to an NLited version of XP dual-booting with Ubuntu 7.10. Only hardware change was an extra gig of memory: Asus A8N-VM CSM mobo, AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (2.0Ghz), and now 2 Gb RAM.
However, I did pick up a new notebook. More on that later…
