My brother pointed me to the new 300 trailer. I’ve long been interested in the story of Thermopylae—read Gates of Fire, watched The 300 Spartans, and enjoyed the reference in The Big Fat Kill before Frank Miller did the 300 book.
I’m still not sure if the actual movie will be great, but the trailer is a work of art. I come away from it wanting to yell “This is Sparta!” rabidly even though I’m not sure what it really means.
